Mentorship is
more than guidance, it means
inclusion.
I believe that strong mentors have had an integral role in my achievements. Like everyone, I received guidance early in my career, but not until I met mentors who were invested in my success did I feel included and empowered.

The mentor-mentee relationship should be a mutually-beneficial relationship; the success of the mentee is a success for both. This is driven by availability for advice, networking, and goal-orientated collaboration.

In my career, I am committed to emulating the dedication as a mentor that I have received. I have already been working to publish with residents in our department who are interested in pursing gynecologic oncology fellowship.
